The ACS R8 processor adds the following feature enhancements to the successful ACS R.7 Platform

• Caller ID to Analog devices:


• Network Clock Syncronization: Keeps system time accurate by obtaining time from caller id information.


• Name and Extension Display: Displays Extension name and number on telephone set LCD


• Absent Text Messaging w Inspect:  Allows users to set absent text displaying when they are out of the office or away from their desk.


• Hot Keypad Dialing: Allows users to dial telephone number without lifting handset or pressing the speaker button.


• Message Alert Notification: Visual indication of new messages in a user mailbox.


• Personalized Station Ringning: Allows users to set the ring tone on their extension thereby allowing for easy identifucation of which extension is ringing.


• Integrated SMDI: Allows for support of 3rd party "CTI" applications without the need for the optional PCMCIA card.


• Expanded Partner Messaging R7 Unified Messaging support: Voicemail to email intergation via SMTP Server or MS Exchange on Windows XP Pro.


• SIP Trunking Support: Available via 3rd party gateway devices (Multitech VOIP FX, Adtran 908, 924 gateways)


• Automatic ACS R6 / R7 to R8 Translation conversion: Allows backed up system programming from ACS R6 & 7 to be converted to R8 making migrations from R.6  & 7 to R8 less time consuming.
